अक्षरं परमं ब्रह्म ज्योतीरूपं सनातनम्।
गुणातीतं निराकारं स्वेच्छामयमनन्तजम्॥
कर्मण्येवाधिकारस्ते मा फलेषु कदाचन।
मा कर्मफलहेतुर्भुर्मा ते संगोऽस्त्वकर्मणि॥

Dreams are fore castes of future. There are instances when one's present memory-daily routine turn into dreams. What one has gone through the day to day affairs, do appear in dreams. People who have stressed-strained out thoughts, affected-impressed one do constitute in dreams, as well. [AGNI PURAN 1]
अघ स्वप्नस्य निर्विदेऽभुञ्जतश्च रेवतः।
उभा ता बस्त्रि नश्यतः॥
मैं प्रातः काल के स्वप्न से घृणा करता हूँ और जो धनी दूसरे का प्रतिपालन नहीं करता, उसे भी घणित समझता हूँ। ये दोनों ही शीघ्र नाश को प्राप्त होते हैं।[ऋग्वेद 1.120.12]
प्रातः कालीन स्वप्न और सम्पदा का उपभोग न करने वाले धनिक दोनों ही प्रकार से उपेक्षा के पात्र हैं। ये शीघ्र ही नष्ट हो जाते हैं।
I hate those who discard the dreams in the morning at the time of waking up and the rich who do not care for others. Such people are bound to perish quickly.
INAUSPICIOUS BAD DREAMS :: Growth of straw and trees all over the body, except the naval, breaking of utensils made up of bronze (bell metal, brass) over the head, shaving of head, being naked, wearing of dirty-unclean cloths, drinking, massage, bathing in, with oil, rubbing-rapping of mud, falling from a height, marriage, enjoyment through music-films or other means, swinging, earning of lotus or iron, killing of snakes, wearing garlands made up of red flowers, application of sandal wood paste over the fore head, observation, seeing, spotting of trees laden with red flowers or Chandal (low caste Shudr earning through the last rites in cremation ground), riding pig, dog, ass, camel, eating the flash, meat of birds-Khichdi (boiled mixture of rice and pulses), entering mother's womb, riding-entering funeral pyre, breaking of flag, falling of Sun and Moon, visualisation of disturbances in heavens, sky, space, earth, curse of Deities, Brahmn, Priests, King, Rulers, Guru, dancing, singing, songs, instrumental music except Veena, drowning in river after a fall, bathing is water mixed with dung, mud, ink, embarrassing the unmarried, virgin girls, gay sex-intercourse, loss of own organs, vomiting, purging, laxative, moving towards south, suffering from some disease, loss of fruits, hole formation, piercing of metals, falling of house-building, sweeping of home, playing with demons, Dracula, Vaner (monkey), Chandal, defeat, insult, trouble from the enemy, wearing of saffron coloured cloths or playing with saffron coloured cloths.
The impact of the events fore cast by the dream can be contained-controlled-restricted through bathing, honouring the Brahmns, Philosopher, Priests, carrying out Hawan-Agnihotr with Til, prayers pertaining-devoted to the Almighty-Brahma, Vishnu & Mahesh, Sun & Moon, recitation of Shanti Mantr (Holi, sacred verses).
Dreams seen during 6-9 PM shows their impact with in one year, between 9-12 PM in 6 months, between 12-3 AM in 3 months and there after with in 15 days.
बुरे स्वप्न :: नाभि के सिवाय शरीर के अन्य अंगों पर और तृण वृक्षों का उगना, काँसे के बर्तनों का सिर के ऊपर रख कर फोड़ा जाना, माथा-सिर मुंडाना, नग्न होना, मैले वस्त्र पहनना, तेल पीना-लगाना-नहाना, कीचड़ लपेटना, ऊँचे से गिरना, विवाह होना, संगीत, वाद्य, बाजे सुन कर दिल बहलाना, झूला-हिंडोले पर झूलना, पद्म और लोहे का उपार्जन, सर्पों को मारना, लाल फूलों की माला पहनना-लाल चन्दन का टीका लगाना, लाल फूल से लदे वृक्ष तथा चाण्डाल को देखना, सूअर, कुत्ता, गदहा, ऊँट पर चढ़ना, चिड़ियों का माँस भक्षण, खिचड़ी खाना, माता के गर्भ में प्रवेश, चिता पर चढ़ना, धवजा का टूटना, सूर्य व चंद्र का गिरना, दिव्य, अंतरिक्ष, भूलोक में उत्पात दिखाई देना, देवता, ब्राह्मण, राजा, गुरु, का कोप, नाचना, गाना, गीत, वीणा के सिवाय अन्य बाजों का स्वयं बजना, नदी में गिरकर नीचे जाना, गोबर, कीचड़, स्याही मिले जल से स्नान करना, कुमारी कन्याओं का आलिंगन, पुरुषों का परस्पर मैथुन, अपने अंगों की हानि, वमन और विरेचन करना, दक्षिण दिशा की ओर जाना, रोग से पीड़ित होना, फलों की हानि, धातुओं का भेदन, घरों का गिरना, घरों में झाड़ू देना, पिशाच, राक्षस, वानर, चाण्डाल आदि के साथ खेलना, शत्रु से अपमानित-संकट ग्रस्त होना, गेरुए वस्त्र पहनना, गेरुए वस्त्र से खेलना।
स्वप्न दोष की शांति के लिये स्नान, ब्राह्मणों का पूजन, तिलों का हवन, भगवान् ब्रह्मा, विष्णु, महेश, सूर्य गण की पूजा, स्तुति पाठ तथा पुरुष सूक्त आदि का पाठ करना चाहिये। रात के पहले प्रहर में देखे गए स्वप्न एक वर्ष, दूसरे प्रहर के छः महीने में, तीसरे प्रहर के तीन माह में तथा चौथे प्रहर के स्वप्न पद्रह दिनों में ही फल दायक होते हैं।
Receipt of gold, cash, jewellery, currency, coins generally forecasts illness. Visualising, eating, spread over of excreta, dung brings money, wealth, possessions, promotion, financial gains, burning pyre brings money, wedding shows trouble and eating-feast illustrates bad days ahead. Serpents warn to be careful from opponents.
A general rule is that if one feels happy, energetic, calm and cosy in the morning after a sound sleep and a dream, it's is good omen. It's auspicious. If one feels, witness restlessness, uneasiness it may yield otherwise. One should never be unnerved after witnessing a horrible terrifying dream. Remember the Almighty and go ahead with the daily routine. Dreams are warnings to guide the viewer.
In case one sees both auspicious and in auspicious dreams, he should consider the impact of the later dream. Having witnessed an auspicious dream, one should not sleep after that.
Riding an elephant, horse, bull is auspicious. Climbing over hill, mountain, hillock or a palace is auspicious. Watching trees laden with white flowers on earth or the sky is auspicious. Growth of straw or trees through the navel is auspicious. Greying of own hair in dream, growth of additional arms, heads is to yields excellent results.
Wearing of white coloured cloths-garlands is good. Holding of Sun, Moon, The flag of Indr, The King of Deities, angles is quite good, raising of flag, holding of water stream over head is good, witnessing bad condition of enemies is good, debate victory in war, eating kheer, pudding (sweetened rice cooked in milk) is good, spreading, seeing of blood, bathing with blood, drinking of wine, alcohol, milk is good, uneasiness caused by striking with weapons, clean sky, milking of cow, buffalo, lioness, she elephant, horse through mouth are excellent dreams.
One who witness own crowing, happiness of Deities, God, Brahmns, Philosophers, pouring of pious water by cows horns or from the moon, results in promotion to high positions. Own crowning, cutting of head, burning in the fire in the house, obtaining of the marks of kingdom, playing of Veena by self, too results in elevation to high positions, dignity, power.
One who witness king, elephant, horse, gold, oxen-bull, cows, in the last leg of the dream will find growth of his family. Riding ox, elephant, roof of palace, hill top or the tree will find favours. Weeping, pasting of ghee, excreta on body or intercourse with a discarded woman too, will experience favours through fortune.
एक ही रात में अशुभ व शुभ दोनों किस्म के स्वप्न देखने पर, बाद वाले स्वप्न का फल ही जानना चाहिये।
शुभ स्वप्न के बाद सोना उचित नहीं है।
स्वप्न में पर्वत, महल, हाथी, घोड़े और बैल पर चढना शुभ है। पृथ्वी या आकाश में सफ़ेद फूलों से भरे वृक्ष, नाभि से वृक्षों या तिनकों का उत्पन्न होना, अपनी भुजाएँ और मस्तक अधिक दिखाई देना, सर के बल पक जाना, उत्तम फल दायक है।
सफेद फूलों की माला और श्वेत वस्त्र धारण करना, सूर्य, चन्द्र व तारों को पकड़ना, परिमार्जन करना, इंद्र की ध्वजा का आलिंगन करना, ध्वजा को ऊँचा उठाना, पृथ्वी पर पड़ती जलधारा को अपने ऊपर रोकना, शत्रुओं की बुरी दशा देखना, वाद-विवाद, जुआ, संग्राम में विजय, खीर खाना, रक्त देखना, खून से नहाना, सुरा, शराब, दूध पीना, अस्त्रों से घायल होकर धरती पर छटपटाना, आकाश का स्वच्छ होना, गाय, भैंस, सिंहनी, हथिनी, घोड़ी को मुँह से दुहना आदि उत्तम स्वप्न हैं।
देवता, ब्राह्मण और गुरुओं की प्रसन्नता, गौओं के सींग अथवा चंद्रमा से गिरे हुए जल के द्वारा अपना अभिषेक होना राज्य प्रदान करता है। अपना राज्याभिषेक होना, अपने मस्तक को कटा हुआ देखना, मरना, आग में पड़ना, गृह आदि में लगी आग के भीतर जलना, राज्य चिन्हों का प्राप्त होना, अपने हाथ से वीणा बजाना भी राज्य दायक हैं।
जो स्वप्न के अंतिम भाग में राजा, हाथी, घोडा, सुवर्ण, बैल तथा गाय को देखता है उसका परिवार-कुटुंब बढ़ता है। बैल, हाथी, महल की छत, पर्वत-शिखर तथा वृक्ष पर चढ़ना, रोना, शरीर में घी और विष्ठा, लग जाना तथा अगम्या स्त्री के साथ समागम शुभ स्वप्न हैं।
One who observe a fast on the seventh of the month (Vikrami-Shak Samwat) after performing Yagy, Hawan and goes to bed meditating of the Bhagwan Sury, witness a dream, the out come, result of it follows.[BHAVISHY PURAN 2]
स्वप्न में सूर्योदय, चन्द्र, इंद्र ध्वज दिखाई दें, तो सभी उपलब्धियाँ-समृधियाँ प्राप्त होती हैं। माला पहने व्यक्ति, गाय या वंशी की आवाज, श्वेत कमल, चामर, दर्पण, सोना, तलवार, पुत्र प्राप्ति, रुधिर थोड़ा या अधिक निकलना या पान करना; ये स्वप्न ऐश्वर्य प्रदान करते हैं। घ्रताक्त प्रजापति के दर्शन से पुत्र प्राप्त होता है।
स्वप्न में प्रशस्त वृक्ष पर चढ़े अथवा अपने मुँख में महिषी, गौ या सिंहनी का दोहन करे तो, शीघ्र ही ऐश्वर्य की प्राप्ति होती है। सोने या चाँदी के पात्र में अथवा कमल पत्र में जो खीर खाता हो, उसे बल की प्राप्ति होती है। जुआ, वाद या युद्ध में विजय का जो स्वप्न देखता हो, वह सुख प्राप्त करता है। स्वप्न में जो अग्नि पान करता है, उसकी जठराग्नि की वृद्धि होती है। अपने अंग प्रज्वलित होते दिखाई देते हों और सिर में पीड़ा हो तो संपत्ति मिलती है। श्वेत वर्ण के वस्त्र, माला और प्रशस्त पक्षी के दर्शन शुभ होते हैं। देवता-आचार्य, गुरू, वृद्ध तथा तपस्वी स्वप्न में जो कहते हैं, वह सत्य होता है। स्वप्न में सिर का कटना अथवा फटना, पैरों में बेड़ी पहनना-राज्य प्राप्ति का संकेत है। स्वप्न में रोने से हर्ष की प्राप्ति होती है। घोड़ा, बैल, श्वेत कमल तथा श्रेष्ठ हाथी पर निडर चढ़ने से महान् ऐश्वर्य की प्राप्ति होती है। ग्रह, ताराओं का ह्रास देखे, पृथ्वी को उलट दे और पर्वतों को फेंके तो राज्य का लाभ होता है। पेट से आँत निकाले और उससे पेड़ को लपेटे, पर्वत, समुद्र तथा नदी को पार करे, तो अत्यधिक ऐश्वर्य की प्राप्ति होती है। सुन्दर स्त्री की गोद में बैठे और बहुत सी स्त्रियाँ आशीर्वाद दें, स्वप्न में शरीर को कीड़-मकोड़े खायें, स्वप्न में स्वप्न का ज्ञान हो, अभीष्ट बात कहने और सुनने में आयें तथा मंगल दायक पदार्थों का दर्शन एवं प्राप्ति हो तो धन एवं आरोग्य का लाभ होता है। जिन स्वप्नों का फल राज्य व ऐश्वर्य की प्राप्ति है, यदि उन स्वप्नों को रोगी देखता है तो वह रोग मुक्त हो जाता है।
इस प्रकार रात्रि में स्वप्न देख कर प्रात: काल राजा, ब्राह्मण अथवा भोजक को सुनाना चाहिये।
यच्च गोषु दुष्वप्न्यं यच्चास्मे दुहितर्दिवः।
त्रिताय तद्विभावर्याप्त्याय परा वहानेहसो व ऊतयः सुऊतयो व ऊतयः॥
हे स्वर्ग की पुत्री देवी उषा! हमारी गौवों में जो पीड़ा है और हमारा जो दुःस्वप्न है, हे विभावरी! वह सब आप्त्यत्रित के लिए दूर कर दें। आपकी रक्षा करने पर उपद्रव नहीं होता। आपकी रक्षा ही हमारी सुरक्षा है।[ऋग्वेद 8.47.14]
पीड़ा :: तकलीफ़, वेदना, दर्द; suffering, anguish.
Hey daughter of heavens, Usha! Suffering-pain to our cows is like bad dream for us. Hey Vibhavari! Keep off the three types of troubles-troubles. On being protection by you, we remain safe.
निष्कं वा घा कृणवते स्रजं वा दुहितर्दिवः।
त्रिते दुष्ष्वप्न्यं सर्वमाप्त्ये परि दद्मस्यनेहसो व ऊतयः सुऊतयो व ऊतयः॥
हे स्वर्ग की पुत्री देवी उषा! स्वर्णकार अथवा मालाकार में जो दुःस्वप्र है, वह आप्त्यत्रित के पास से दूर हों। आपके द्वारा रक्षा करने पर दुःस्वप्न नहीं होता। आपकी रक्षा ही हमारी सुरक्षा है।[ऋग्वेद 8.47.15]
Hey daughter of heavens, Usha! Let the three kinds of troubles, bad dreams should be transferred to the gold smith of the one who make garlands. On being protection by you, we remain safe.
तदन्नाय तदपसे तं भागमुपसेदुषे।
त्रिताय च द्विताय चोषो दुष्वप्न्यं वहानेहसो व ऊतयः सुऊतयो व ऊतयः॥
स्वप्न में अन्न पाने पर आप्त्यत्रित से, दुःस्वप्न से उत्पन्न कष्ट को दूर करें। आपके द्वारा रक्षा होने पर उपद्रव नहीं होता। आपकी रक्षा ही हमारी सुरक्षा है।[ऋग्वेद 8.47.16]
On receiving food grains-food in dreams, the pain caused by bad dreams should be removed. On being protection by you, we remain safe.
One who get-eat food stuff, food grains in dreams in early morning is informed of bad health or trouble.
यथा कलां यथा शफं यथ ऋणं संनयामसि।
एवा दुष्वप्न्यं सर्वमाप्त्ये सं नयामस्यनेहसो व ऊतयः सुऊतयो व ऊतयः॥
जिस प्रकार यज्ञ में दान देने के लिए पशु के हृदय, खुर, सींग आदि सब क्रमानुसार विलुप्त अथवा दत्त होते हैं, जिस प्रकार ऋण को क्रमशः दिया जाता है, उसी प्रकार हम आप्त्यत्रित के समस्त दुःस्वप्न को क्रमशः दूर हटावें।[ऋग्वेद 8.47.17]
The manner in which the animal's organs viz. heart, horns, hoofs goes off-removed in donation during Yagy sequentially, the debt is serviced, the three types of bad dreams should be eliminated sequentially in the same manner.
अजैष्माद्यासनाम चाभूमानागसो वयम्।
उषो यस्माद्दुष्वप्न्यादभैष्माप तदुच्छत्वने ऊतयः सुऊतयो व ऊतयः॥
हे देवी उषा! आज हम विजयी होकर सुख प्राप्त करेंगे, आज हम पाप रहित होंगे। हम दुःस्वप्न से डर गये; इसलिए वह भय दूर करें। आपकी रक्षा करने पर उपद्रव नहीं होता। आपकी रक्षा ही हमारी सुरक्षा है।[ऋग्वेद 8.47.18]
Hey Usha Devi! We will be victorious, sinless, free from bad-inauspicious dreams and fear; under your asylum.
