The term Parsi, which in the Persian language is a demonym (क्षद्म नाम) meaning inhabitant of Pars and hence ethnic Persian.

Popularly they are called Zoroastrians or the followers of Zoroaster. Zoroastrianism is a distinct religion based in Persian (now Iran) that has its own scripture and way of life and prayers. They are also called as Fire (अग्नि देव) Worshippers because their temples have Fire enlightened all the time. They consider fire to be holy.

अग्नि पूजकों का समूह ईरान से भारत वर्ष में आया क्योंकि उन्हें इस्लाम कबूल नहीं था। इस्लाम के आने से पहले समस्त विश्व हिन्दु पद्धति, रीति-रिवाजों, मान्यताओं को ही मानता था, जिसके सबूत पूरी दुनियाँ में बिखरे पड़े हैं, आवश्यकता है केवल उन्हें समझने और संकलित करने की। । 

Parsis or Zoroastrians follow a belief system founded by Zarathustra (Avesta meaning-Golden Star). Birth place of Zarathustra may be Badakhshan region which is located in South East of Pamir Mountains. Badakhshan is geographically spreading between present day, Afghanistan, Pakistan and Punjab and Kashmir of India. Thus Zarathustra, his followers and Hindus have common ancestry native to Indian subcontinent.

Parsi’s supreme God is Ahur Mazda. Their ideology depicts a pair of good & bad, demons and the demigods. 

Persians were the descendants of some of the Sumerians who had migrated to India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Bangladesh and Nepal. 

Disappearance of holy Saraswati river in nearly 7,000 BC-4,500 BC compelled the inhabitants to migrate to areas around Iran beyond Sindh. The Parsis initially settled at Hormuz on the Persian Gulf but finding themselves still persecuted they set sail for India, due to the impact of Islam, when Muslim captured Persia.

At present they live around Mumbai and in a few towns and villages mostly to the south of Mumbai. They too constitute minorities nearby in Karachi (Pakistan) like Hindus. Sizeable Parsi population inhibits Karnatak, Pune, Kolkata, Chennai & Hyderabad as well. They do not have caste system but still they form a well knit well defined community. 

Parsi itself may not be necessarily an indication of their Iranian or Persian origin, but rather as indicator-manifest as several properties of ethnic identity.

Darius the Great (521-486 BC) establishes this fact when he records his Parsi ancestry for posterity, “Pars Parsahy Putr Ary Aryachitr”, meaning, a Parsi, the son of a Parsi, an Aryan, of Aryan family (Inscription at Naqsh-i-Rustam, near Persepolis, Iran).

In ancient Persia, Zoroaster taught that good (Ohrmazd) and evil (Angra Mainyu) were opposite forces and the battle between them is more or less evenly matched. A person should always be vigilant to align with forces of light. According to the Asha or the righteousness and Druj or the wickedness, the person has chosen in his life they will be judged at the Chinvat bridge to grant passage to Paradise, Hammistagan (A limbo area) or Hell by a sword. A personified form of the soul that represents the person’s deeds takes the adjudged to their destination and they will abide there until the final apocalypse. After the final battle between good and evil, every soul’s walk through a river of fire ordeal for burning of their dross and together they receive a post resurrection paradise. 
पुराणों में वर्णित आग का दरिया। 
The Zoroastrian holy book, called the Avesta, was written in the Avestan language, which is closely related to Vedic Sanskrat. 
Temple is a term which is commonly used by Jews and Hindus.

तमिद्गच्छन्ति जुह्वस्तमर्वतीर्विश्वान्येकः शृणवद्वचांसि मे। पुरुप्रैषस्ततुरिर्यज्ञसाधनोऽच्छिद्रोतिः शिशुरादत्त सं रभः॥

सब जुहू अग्नि को लक्ष्य कर जाते हैं। स्तुतियाँ भी अग्नि के लिए ही हैं। अग्नि देव मेरी समस्त स्तुतियाँ सुनते हैं। वह बहुतों के प्रवर्तक, तारयिता और यज्ञ के साधन हैं। उनकी रक्षा शक्ति छिद्र शून्य है। वह शिशु की तरह शान्त और यज्ञ के अनुष्ठाता है।[ऋग्वेद 1.145.3]

जुहू :: पलाश की लकड़ी का बना हुआ एक अर्ध चंद्राकार यज्ञ पात्र जिससे घृत की आहुति दी जाती हैं, पूर्व दिशा, अग्नि की जिह्वा, अग्निशिखा,अध्यर्यु, चंद्रमा।  

इसी अग्नि को आहुतियाँ और प्रार्थनाएँ प्राप्त होती हैं। वह आह्वानों को सुनने वाले हैं। यज्ञ को सिद्ध करने वाला तथा शिशु के समान पराक्रम बुद्धि को ग्रहण होता है।

This Agni is prayed-worshipped by all. All Strotr prayers are meant-targeted for him. He listens to our prayers. He is the saviour of many and a means for the Yagy. His protection is unquestionable. He is quite like an infant.

PARSI COMMUNITY IN INDIA & ITS CONTRIBUTION TO INDIA'S GROWTH ::

A grossly immature, timid, ignorant, confused congress politician made hollow allegations against the TATAS.

He crossed all limits of a gentleman. During his recent various visits to Gujarat, it was observed that in each of his rallies he mentioned this Parsi gentleman's name. In each of the rallies he was actually putting fingers into his mouth and waiting in the hope that he will react. This induces one to believe that PM's view regarding his IQ are absolutely correct. Every morning he shouted in Gujarat that Modi gave 33,000 crores to that gentleman free of cost. Did he even think before speaking? Please go through the Tata Motors statement regarding the rubbish. For a change, even if one assume that the Tata's were given free land, then there is nothing wrong, after all the Tata Trust does good charity for the society. It is better to give land to Tata's instead of Robert Vadra as at least the profits generated by Tata companies will be used for charity, whereas every one know the history of corruption by the icon and head of congress party.

Its wrong on the part of any government to give free land to such a large business empire-conglomerate.

The Parsis may be very less in numbers to affect congress vote bank but there are many sympathy bearers for Parsis in other communities and they will surely react and affect its results. This will not make a big impact on results as congress has wretched people like Mani Shankar Iyer who are sufficient to ensure that congress is finished in India. 

A British founded Congress party In India and an Italian will wipe it off.

The Parsis consider India as their motherland. Its improper to say that they are selling the same. It's a pity-shameful that the idiot think so lowly of a person (Tata) who celebrated this Diwali by donating 1,000 crores for Cancer hospitals, whereas congress was busy in appeasing Muslims & converting Hindus & Sikhs to Christianity. were celebrating Diwali out of India. 

Parsis are just 0.1% of total population or maybe even less, yet

They never asked for minority status.

They never asked for reservations.

They never fight​ with Indian Government. 

They never felt threatened by Hindus.

They never throw bombs or stones or damage public property.

They never indulge in crimes or run the underworld.

All they do is to contribute mightily to the progress of India.
