भगवान् श्री कृष्ण को समर्पित श्री द्वारका धीश मंदिर भारत प्रमुख मंदिर है। यह मथुरा में यमुना नदी के किनारे विश्राम घाट के नजदीक स्थित है। इसका पुनर्निर्माण 1,814 में सेठ गोकुल दास पारिख द्वारा, जो कि ग्वालियर रियासत के खजांची थे, के द्वारा करवाया गया। वर्ष 1,930 में सेवा पूजन का भार पुष्टिमार्ग के आचार्य गिरघर लाल जी, कांकरौली वालों ने ग्रहण किया। इसमें स्थित भगवान् श्री कृष्ण की प्रतिमा काले रंग के संगमरमर से बनी है और माँ राधा की प्रतिमा सफेद संगमरमर बनी है। मन्दिर परिसर की दीवारों और स्तभों को राजस्थानी शैली में बनाया गया है। सभी देवी देवताओं की मूर्तियाँ यहाँ विराजमान हैं। मंदिर परिसर भव्य, बहुत सुन्दर और मन-मोहक है।
मंदिर में भगवान् श्री कृष्ण के दर्शन हेतु देश व विदेशों से लाखों की सँख्या तीर्थयात्री आते हैं। होली और जन्माष्टमी के पावन पर्व पर दर्शनार्थियों की तादाद और भी बढ़ जाती है। हिंडोला त्यौहार श्रावण मास में मनाया जाता है। इस अवसर पर श्री द्वारकाधीश जी को विशेष दर्शन हेतु सुन्दर सोने व चाँदी के झूले में रखा जाता है। जन्माष्टमी के अवसर पर पूरे पूजा-पाठ का सीधा प्रसारण दूरदर्शन द्वारा किया जाता है। 
पहली बार मेंहदीपुर बालाजी का दर्शन करके लौटते वक़्त द्वारका धीश जी के दर्शन की तीव्र इच्छा उत्पन्न हुई। आरती का समय था। भक्तजन प्रतीक्षा कर रहे थे। तभी "श्री कृष्ण गोविन्द हरे मुरारी! हे नाथ नारायण वासुदेवा! हे नाथ नारायण वासुदेवा! हे कृष्ण वासुदेवा!" का जाप भक्तों के श्री मुख से प्रकट हुआ। यह इतना मधुर और मनमोहक था कि उसकी स्मृति आज तक मन-मस्तिष्क में अंकित-विराजमान है। तभी से नित्य सुबह और शाम इसका जप करता ही रहता हूँ। ईश्वर की असीम कृपा से एक बार दर्शन का मौंका और मिला। 
This is one of the most revered-holiest pilgrimage site in India. Millions of devotees gather here throughout the year. During the Holi festival the festivities are at their peak. On the auspicious occasion of Shri Krashn Janm Ashtami, millions of devotees from all over the world come here to pay tributes to the Almighty, who was a compete incarnation of Par Brahm Parmeshwar. 
Its present structure was rebuilt by Seth Gokul Das Pareekh, the treasurer of then Gwalior State in 1,814. The idol is made of black marble along with the idol of Maa Radha, which is in white marble.
It has a large premises with the main building enclosed by a magnificently carved in Rajasthani style. The main entrance with steep steps leads to the temple courtyard. In the central courtyard a platform is built up, lined up with three rows of richly carved pillars and support the ceiling which is also beautifully painted. Another small temple devoted Bhagwan Shri Hari Vishnu as Shali Gram is also built up within the temple complex.
This Temple is about 3.5 km from city main railway station i.e., Mathura Junction. From there many modes of transport are available to reach the temple like auto rickshaw. It takes about one and a half hour to reach here via express way. A large number of trains connect it with Delhi and several cities of India. However, a new international airport may come up in Jewar, to felicitate the pilgrims to reach here easily through out the year.
